

The series includes letters, reports, drafts of legislation, minutes of meetings, speeches, and newspaper clippings.Īrrangement follows original file groupings and is by no means strictly chronological.

The series also includes material related to general planning and administrative activities in which the Bureau's staff was involved, and correspondence from the Women's Crown Employees Office (this office was created in 1974 to co-ordinate policies related to employment of women in the Ontario Public Service). The materials pertain to the Bureau's and ministry's policies, programs, and internal administration, information on the Bureau's activities and on working women's issues, complaints about discrimination in employment or working conditions, governmental and non-governmental organizations involved in women's issues, and the socio-economical condition of women. This series consists of materials documenting the contacts between the Director of the Women's Bureau and individuals, the media, and private and governmental organizations in and outside of Ontario.
