Yvaine gives Tristran her heart, and as such the Witch-Queen ages and loses her youth. He then realizes that Una is alive and she reveals who she is to him, as well as the fact that he is the last male heir of Stormhold and is the King. However, he realizes that he is in love with Yvaine, and she with him. Tristran realizes that Victoria has become engaged to another. Towards the end of the journey, the two develop feelings for each other. He keeps her captive to return her to Victoria, unbeknown of the fact that she is hunted by the Witch-Queen too, who wants her heart in exchange for everlasting youth.Īlong their journey, they encounter any things, such as a fight between a lion and a unicorn over a golden crown, an interaction with Pan, the spirit of the forest and the captain of an airship, all the while avoiding being killed by the Witch Queen. He finds the star, who is actually a woman known as Yvaine.
